I got the order for seeds put together and sent in over the past weekend, and I managed to cut it down considerably to $75.00.  Here's what I ordered....

Kentucky wonder wax pole bean, tendergreen bush bean, nutribud broccoli, point one cabbage, red venture celery, seafoam chard, summer dance cuke, gourd mix, watercress, Mr. big pea, tall telephone pea, bubbles brussels sprouts, super sugar snap pea, glaskin perpetual rhubarb, bloomsdale long-standing spinach, space spinach, greyzini zucchini, carnival winter squash, tip top tomato, opalka tomato, evergreen bunching onion, golden ball turnip, jewel mix nasturtium, brisk green pak choi, motherwort, toothache plant, econosprout topper, sprouting alfalfa, sprouting munching mix, cabbage babies blend, garden bouquet mix, Margaret's pepper, giant marconi hyb. pepper, fanfare hyb. cuke, little purple tiger hyb. eggplant, kongo hyb. kohlrabi, neon calendula, and seastar mixed aster.  I also get two free packets of seed - marketer cuke and Will Rogers zinnia.

I found another old-fashioned country store.  This one is a meat market run by two old friends of mine.  If I have extra produce this summer, I think I'll bring it to my friends and see if they can sell it for me.  My veggies are all organically produced - nothing artificial.  I see where these small stores are coming back again, and organic food is replacing the artificially fertilized - at least in my food supply.  Lately, I've become suspicious of produce bought in large ag-business supermarkets.  Too many bad eating experiences and too many reports of people getting sick from that food.  And their costs are going up - might as well go organic.

Well, I'm all done shopping for this month and it's always a relief to get it all put away.
